Frequently asked questions

Most frequent questions and answers

What to expect from a Chihuahua puppy?

Chihuahua puppies are very loyal and affectionate with those that they know, but a poorly socialised dog will often be aggressive towards strangers to the point of barking and biting. Familiarise them with friends and children early, but any interaction with small children should be closely monitored.

Can I bathe my Chihuahua puppy?

This self-confident little dog can be bathed as frequently as every week up to no longer than 6 weeks, depending on lifestyle and activity level.

How often should Chihuahua puppies eat?

Once chihuahua puppies are weaned, they should be fed four to six times a day until they are about three months old. When they are above three months old, it is recommended to feed them three to four meals a day. Adult chihuahuas (12 months and older) can be fed two to three meals a day.

If you plan on keeping your Mastiff in an apartment, however, be sure they get regular exercise in the form of short walks and light playtime daily to prevent them from becoming bored and eventually overweight.

Can Chihuahua puppies drink milk?

Dogs cannot drink milk. Do not give your dog regular quantities of cow’s milk since the fat, calories, and lactose can cause many short-term and long-term health issues, including stomach upset, diarrhea, obesity, and pancreatitis.

This preference can vary slightly from dog to dog, but overall, Mastiffs tend to enjoy swimming and being around water in general.

Can a Chihuahua eat eggs?

The answer is yes, cooked eggs are good for dogs! Dogs can eat hard-boiled or scrambled eggs. The main objective is that the eggs need to be cooked.
